There is a teaching that states that all roads (religions) lead to God in the end. This is absolutely not true.
That is why Jesus said narrow is the way to eternal life and few find it. If everyone is going to the same place then Jesus would have been lying. That I guarantee is not the case.
Saying all roads lead to God in the end is like saying that 2+2=4 and 2+3=4 at the same time. It is simply impossible. If one religion states to be the correct one and so does another to be correct if they don't believe the same!
Most people would answer the question of which religion is the correct one by saying the one that they are involved is obviously the correct one.
I hope that you honestly don’t believe that without at least looking at the facts. It doesn’t hurt to at least look into it, especially since eternity is a very long time.
Matthew 7:14 says,
14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
It is difficult only because people are not willing to be wrong about what they believe (their religion) or they are not willing to believe for what ever other reason.
Look at what some "so-called" christians are teaching.
I happen to know people who are followers of Christ in other religions. – Rick Warren.
I see no contradiction between Buddhism and Christianity. . . . I intend to become as good a Buddhist as I can. – Thomas Merton.
Allah is not another God . . . we worship the same God. . . . The same God! The very same god we worship in Christ is the God the Jews – and the Muslims – worship. – Peter Kreeft.
- Roger Oakland, Faith Undone, pp. 178-179
Like I said before it is impossible for two completely different beliefs to both be true. The people who say these things truly have no idea what true Christianity believes.
In God’s eyes, there is only one way to Heaven, and we will prove it.
