The Bible

The Bible is God’s progressive revelation of Himself to His creation. You see, from Genesis to Revelation, 66 books, is the one unfolding story of God’s love and salvation to His rebellious creation, telling us who He is, what He is like, what He has done for us, and what we must do in response to what He has done.

Thus, God has revealed Himself through His word. All that we know about God comes from the Bible, which is the only source of specific, personal revelation about God that we have. And understand this, the Bible has only one message. That is Christ and His redemption. From Genesis to Revelation this is the one unfolding message. Many other things are taught, but this is the predominant theme.

We speak of the inerrancy of the Bible, which means that these 66 books, written from 1500 BC to 96 AD by 40 different authors from every walk of life imaginable (shepherds, kings, generals, prime ministers, fishermen, doctors, etc.), writing on three continents (Asia, Africa, and Europe), in three languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek), with one continuous story without contradiction or errors. The Bible is the Word of God.
