Which Religion?
Can we know which religion of the world is the correct one? Is it possible to be sure who we should listen to and who not to listen to? Is it important?
These are important questions because our eternity depends on us getting the answer correct.
Warning, this portion of the web page is designed to prove to you how you can know you have eternal life. It isn’t an attempt to get you to attend any certain congregation or to believe in any particular religion!!!!
I’ve had people tell me that they are OK with their religion and some have even said that the two things people should never discuss are politics and religion. This is so dangerous because if your belief in your specific religion is not going to get you into Heaven than when you die and stand before God you will have to explain to God why you have trusted in your religion and not Him for your salvation. The consequences are forever and that is scary!
Look at what Jesus said in Luke 13:24-28.
Luke 13:24-29
24 "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. 25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying,'Lord, Lord, open for us,' and He will answer and say to you,'I do not know you, where you are from,' 26 then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.' 27 But He will say, 'I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.' 28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.
Again He said in Matthew 7:22-23!
Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
Notice Jesus said the road to eternal life is narrow not broad and he also says in Matthew 7:23, “I never knew you”.
Not some will say but many will say they know God and God will say depart from me and they will be cast into Hell.
I believe this is more common than ever before. There are so many people who don't have clue as to whether they are going to Heaven or not.
1 John 5:13
I have written this to you...that you may know you have eternal life.
God does not want you to be fooled!
